Real-time High Speed Bus and Modular I/O Technology

PA-Superbus™ is a super-fast, real-time bus communicating with the I/Os synchronously to the fastest task (100μs) without any delay. The max. communication time for the maximum number of 1,280 digital/analog I/Os is 320 μs, i.e. for 400 I/O points the transfer time is only 100 μs. Thus, the processing speed of PA-Superbus™ is 10 to 50 times faster than any of the standard field buses commercially available like InterBus-S, Profibus-DP.

PAMIO™ modules on the PA-Superbus™ will be auto-configured after Power-on. This way, start-up is extremely simple. PA-Superbus™ can be used on any PA CNC system.

Its important advantage is its synchronism with the fastest task, so you know for sure when an output set by your software will be activated relative to the processing of your task. There are no asynchronisms.

PAMIO™ is the acronym for Power Automation Modular I/O. PAMIO™ modules utilize the PA-Superbus™ for communication. A Module Box consists of its housing, the PA-Superbus™  in and out plugs as well as two plug-in-slots for I/O modules. PAMIO™ modules can be snapped onto DIN-Rails and plugged into each other side by side or connected through optional cables (without additional bus couplers) in any fashion necessitated by the application. This way, I/O modules can be mounted where needed,without the additional cost of bus couplers. Each PAMIO™ module box has its own watchdog timer for the PA-Superbus™, temperature and voltage monitoring as well as corresponding LED displays on the front.
